What is Breast Implant Illness (BII)?

Breast implant illness is typically characterized by a vague tapestry of symptoms such as brain fog, chronic fatigue, joint pain, dry eyes, hair loss, or merely feeling poorly overall. These symptoms are often deceptive and confusing, making one feel like there may be other health issues or factors at play.

Because the FDA did not require public reporting of these types of breast implant problems, the assumption and the illusion of 100% safety prevailed. However, once reporting rules were implemented in 2017, the number of breast implant injury reports skyrocketed into the thousands.

How breast implants may increase your risk of autoimmune disorders & other conditions

Whether filled with silicone or saline, breast implants can leak, break, or break down over time.
